Privacy policy
Data checked:
This policy covers this website and its optional accounts. It was last updated on 21 October 2026.
Browsing without an account
You can use the whole directory without signing in. We count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or collect personal information. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Links to tools go through /go/ pages so we can count clicks. We do not add personal identifiers to those links.
If you sign in
You can sign in with Google or GitHub. We receive and store:
- your account ID at that provider, your verified email address and your display name;
- a session record, so you stay signed in for up to 30 days;
- what you do on the site: saved tools, reviews, correction reports and listing claims, with their dates.
We use this only to run those features, review submissions, prevent spam and keep an audit trail of moderation decisions. We do not sell data, show ads based on it or use it to train AI models. We never see your Google or GitHub password.
Your display name is shown next to published reviews. Your email address is never shown publicly; it is used to check listing claims (whether your email domain matches the tool’s website) and could be used to contact you about a submission.
Cookies
Signing in sets one cookie, __Host-session, which holds a random session token. It is strictly necessary for the account features and expires after 30 days or when you sign out. While you are being sent to Google or GitHub, a short-lived __Host-oauth-… cookie links the sign-in back to your browser; it is deleted when you return and expires after 10 minutes at most. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who processes the data
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores account data in a Cloudflare D1 database.
- Google and GitHub handle sign-in when you choose them, under their own privacy policies.
- If spam protection is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile checks form submissions.
These services may process data outside your country.
How long we keep it
- Sessions: until you sign out or after 30 days.
- Account data, saved tools, reviews, claims and corrections: until you delete them or your account.
- Moderation audit records: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Rate-limit counters: a few days.
Your choices and rights
On your account page you can see your saved tools, reviews, claims and corrections, delete individual reviews, and delete your account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, sessions, saved tools, reviews, claims and corrections. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access, correct, restrict or object to processing; account deletion is available to everyone without asking.
Children
The account features are not intended for children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will be shown on the account page before they apply.
